Limak Anka Cement factory produces 3 different types of products: CEM I 42,5 R, CEM II/A-M (V-LL) 42,5 R (CEM PLUS+), and CEM II/B-LL 32,5 R.
As an energy-intensive industry, the plant has been working on energy efficiency since the first year it started production. Clinker firing and cement grinding have the lowest specific energy consumption among all cement plants in Turkey in terms of specific energy consumption. It took the first place in the “Turkish Cement Sector Energy Comparison” study conducted by the Energy Efficiency and Environment Department of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in the last four years.
In line with its net zero carbon target, the Alternative Fuel Dispatch and Supply system investment of 2022 has been completed to reduce fuel-induced CO2 emissions. Within the scope of industrial symbiosis studies, wastes with high mineral content from different sectors are used as alternative raw materials. In this context, alternative raw materials have increased by 34% compared to 2021.
In the Limak Anka Cement plant, which continues its activities with the goal of “Zero Accident”, training activities were carried out in 2022 on professional, technical and administrative subjects such as occupational safety, environment, energy efficiency and personal development. In this context, the training period per person has been accomplished as 26 person/ hours.
