The project is referred to as Phase 1 of the NEOM Magna Region Aquellum Project and includes excavation works for a structure located in an area close to the Gulf of Aqaba.
Within the scope of the project, a 225-meter mobility tunnel, the T1 tunnel with a length of 630 meters and a 20 percent gradient, the installation of rockfall barriers with a total length of 275 meters, and the excavation of a vertical shaft approximately 126 meters deep have been completed. In addition, geotechnical investigations and horizontal exploration drilling works within the tunnels, as well as 197,000 cubic meters of open excavation, were carried out.
The project was completed in 2025 and the Provisional Acceptance Certificate was obtained.
