With the project, it is aimed to irrigate a total of 70 thousand hectares of land in the Araban Plain, Yavuzeli Plain, Besni Keysun and Besni Kızılin plains covering Adıyaman, Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş and to provide drinking water to Gaziantep. The dam body is completed and the project is planned to be completed in 2023.
