Situated on the Sakarya River, the Kargı Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) began operations in April 2017. Recognised as the largest hydroelectric power plant of the private sector in the Sakarya basin, the Kargı Dam and HPP possesses an installed power of 100 MW and annual average generation capacity of 254 million kWh.
In 2019, Kargı Dam and HEPP attained the Efficiency Award in the Hydroelectric Category at the Energy Awards Competition organized within the scope of ICCI 2019, held with the theme of “Change and Transformation in Energy”.
The power generation in 2022 is 133,838,171 kWh.
