Dubai Metro Blue Line Project

Following the receipt of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) on 19 December 2024, the MAPA–LİMAK–CRRC Consortium (MLCC) signed the contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the Dubai Metro Blue Line Project. The Parsons–Atkins Joint Venture (PA-JV) is serving as the Engineer for the project.

The Dubai Metro Blue Line Project consists of two main routes. The Creek Main Line starts from the Green Line Creek Station, extending towards Dubai Creek Harbour and International City 1 Station, passing through the Silicon Oasis and Academic City areas and terminating at the new Depot Facility. The alignment consists of elevated viaducts, including bridge crossings, as well as underground sections.

The Rashidiya Branch Line begins at the Red Line Rashidiya Station, passing through the Mirdif, Al Warqa and Dragon Mart areas and connecting to International City 1 Station via an approximately 9-kilometre predominantly underground alignment.

Within the scope of the project, 4 underground stations, 4 elevated stations, 1 iconic station and 3 interchange stations will be constructed. In addition, approximately 15.3 kilometres of tunnelling works and 13 kilometres of elevated viaduct construction will be carried out. The Green Line will also be extended by approximately 135 metres.

The new Depot Facility is designed with a capacity for 60 trains, and the procurement of 28 new train sets is planned in the first phase.
