In September 2024, Limak Construction signed a contract with the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works for the construction of the aircraft parking apron, taxiways, and service buildings for the Kuwait International Airport New Terminal Building II.

The project encompasses the construction of aircraft parking aprons and taxiways designed to support the operations of the new terminal building, also being built by Limak Construction, and to expand the airport’s aircraft parking capacity. In addition, the project includes various service buildings and associated infrastructure works. Key components of the project include a catering building with approximately 69,000 square meters of enclosed space, a logistics consolidation center covering 26,200 square meters, security gates and administrative buildings, and a central facility spanning approximately 4,700 square meters. The scope also includes an electrical substation, a 1.78-kilometer-long tunnel, 959,337 square meters of apron paving, 644,744 square meters of taxiways and service roads, and a 30-kilometer-long rainwater drainage system. Furthermore, the construction of 55 passenger boarding bridges is planned as part of the project.
