The groundbreaking ceremony for the Antalya-Alanya Motorway, which will provide uninterrupted connectivity between Antalya — Türkiye’s tourism capital — and Alanya over a distance of 122 kilometers, was held on July 25, 2025.
Designed to ease the region’s traffic burden and reduce travel time from approximately 2.5 hours to just 36 minutes, the motorway is expected to be completed within three years and will significantly contribute to the region’s tourism and commercial potential.
Implemented under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, the construction contract for the Antalya-Alanya Motorway was signed in October last year. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in Manavgat on July 25, 2025, with the attendance of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Governor of Antalya Hulusi Şahin, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and current AK Party Member of Parliament for Antalya Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, MHP Member of Parliament for Antalya Abdurrahman Başkan, Director General of Highways Ahmet Gülşen, as well as Honorary Chairmen of Limak Group of Companies Nihat Özdemir and Sezai Bacaksız, Chairwoman of the Board Ebru Özdemir, Vice Chairman Serhan Bacaksız, and Board Member Batuhan Özdemir.
