The contract for the Silvan Tunnel Completion Section II was signed in May 2023. This tunnel is the second in a series forming a key component of the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) and the Silvan Irrigation project. It spans 13,236 meters in length, with an excavation volume of approximately 1.1 million cubic meters. As part of the project, a total of 22,000 cubic meters of concrete will be used for the construction of the intake structure and outlet gate, while TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) technology is being utilized in the tunnel excavation works. The project is planned to be completed in 2027.
