Porbandar-Bhiladi Highway India

The Porbandar-Bhiladi Highway, which will improve the roadway connection of the Porbandar Eiman City located in the Province of Gujarat in the far west of India with other cities in the province, both in terms of capacity and quality, is included within the scope of the East-West Highway Renovation Project of the Indian Government.

The project, which is financed by the Asian Development Bank, was realized by the Limak-Soma Joint Venture. The contract concerning this project, in which the employer is the Indian National Highways Administration, was signed on 12 January 2005 and it was completed in May 2007. About 100 various engineering superstructure works including culverts, small bridges, electricity, water, telephone, drainage passages, and the construction of two large bridges are included within the scope of the project.

The Porbandar-Bhiladi Highway, which will ensure that the Portbandar Port is more efficiently used by other cities of the province, will also contribute to the economic and social development of the region by increasing the foreign and domestic trade capacity of the province.
