Arkun Dam and HEPP is on Çoruh River within the provincial borders of Artvin and Erzincan provinces. The body of dam is 140 m high from the foundation and is sand-gravel filling dam with a concrete covered front zone. The body filling volume is 6.774.345 cubic meters. The total installed power capacity is 238 MW; 225 mW of this comes from the main power plant building and 13 mW from the impoundment plant.
