Alkumru Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant which was commissioned in 2011 is located on the Botan Creek, which is a branch of the Dicle, within the boundaries of Siirt province in the South East Anatolia.
The total embankment volume is 18 million m3. The plant has a total installed capacity of 280 MW and its annual average generation capacity is 1 billion kWh. The facility consists of three units.
