Limak Anka Cement, the foundation of which was laid in November 2015 and put into operation in April 2018, produces three different types of products.

• CEM II/A-M (V-LL) 42,5 R (CEM PLUS+)
• CEM II/B-LL 32,5 R

In order to prevent dust emissions resulting from raw materials and production processes in the factory, all material transfer lines are designed as closed galleries and dust exit to the environment is prevented by using bag filters on the line.   In addition, a closed clinker stock hall with a capacity of 100 thousand tons has been built and activities are carried out in the open area without clinker stockpiling. The rotary kiln operates with low NOx emission and low specific heat consumption, at a calcination degree of 95 percent with preheater towers and high combustion efficiency. The factory, which makes environmentally friendly production with low greenhouse gas emission, has a serious advantage in terms of cost optimization with low energy consumption. With the energy saving projects made after the commissioning of the factory, specific electrical energy consumption was reduced to 75 kWh / ton.

Limak Anka Cement Factory, which started its production with the target of “zero accident”, provided 16 hours of training per person in 2019. In order to be prepared and trained for unexpected situations, emergency drills and environmental practices were carried out with the support of AFAD throughout the year. During the year, all factory employees were trained by AFAD officials regarding earthquake and fire.

Anka Çimento produces high quality clinker and cement with its new generation production technology and equipment by completing all legal permissions related to environmental management processes. All roads inside the factory, which has a modern appearance, have been concreted and the factory has gained a green area of 6 thousand square meters by covering 2 thousand square meters with grass during the year.  In addition, 600 pieces of sapling of various species were planted in 2019 and the total number of trees reached up to 1,800. It is aimed to sustain the afforestation and activities for increasing the green area in the new year. Endeavors for Integrated Management System certification have been completed and it is the first cement factory in the sector with the TS ISO 45001: 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certificate.
