Texas Pacific Group(TPG), one of the world’s leading private equity firms, and the Nurol-Limak-Özaltın-Tutsab consortium, owner of Mey Alcoholic Bevearages, on Thursday signed an agreement pursuant to which they will enter into a strategic partnership regaring Mey. Mey is Turkey’s leading producer of rakı and other spirits with an approximately 80 percentage share of the rakı market. It is also one of the the largest producers of wine in Turkey. This agreement is expected to further strengthen Mey’s position as one of Europe’s largest spirit producers.
